Nonsurgical Procedures

Moderately invasive or nonsurgical procedures have become quite popular over recent years, as they are associated with little down time and are more affordable than surgery. These procedures include BOTOX, injectable fillers, laser treatments and chemical peels. The longevity of these treatments varies from several months to approximately one year. It is important to remember that these treatments are not a substitute for surgery, nor are they risk-free, but when performed by qualified physicians such as Dr. Cobbins, risks can be minimized as patient safety is our main focus.

BOTOX® COSMETIC

BOTOX Cosmetic is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the country and one of our most requested services. Adult men and women of varying ethnicities can benefit from treatment with BOTOX Cosmetic. Quick, safe and effective, BOTOX reduces or eliminates facial lines and wrinkles for 3 to 6 months. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes and because there is no downtime, and little to no discomfort, this procedure is done in an office-based setting. Through a series of tiny injections, BOTOX gives you a rejuvenated look by smoothing out crow's feet, decreasing frown lines between the eyebrows, and reducing horizontal lines across the forehead. You can expect to see results within 3 to 5 days following treatment. We recommend avoiding strenuous activity for up to 1 hour after your treatment, but you will be able to drive and return to work immediately.

Juvéderm® Injectable Gel

Juvéderm Injectable Gel is a safe, effective, FDA approved dermal filler that restores volume to the skin and smoothes away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. This injectable gel is made of hyaluronic acid and has a smooth consistency, allowing for easy injections and instant, natural-looking results.

There is no pre-testing needed for this procedure. Juvéderm may also be used to augment the lips. Dr. Cobbins injects Juvéderm in the office, and only topical anesthetic is required. You will see the difference immediately, and results may last 6 months or longer.

Radiesse®

Radiesse is a synthetic injectable filler that has been approved by the FDA to reduce moderate to severe wrinkles and folds around the nose and mouth by stimulating the natural production of collagen in the skin. This product is made of calcium hydroxylapatite, which are minerals similar to what makes up our bones.

Radiesse does not require pre-testing, and is most effective in reducing the appearance of smile lines, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and other wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse can also be used to restore volume lost in the area around the cheekbones. The results of this office-based procedure are visible immediately, and can last for up to a year.

Restylane®

Restylane is an FDA-approved dermal filler made of hyaluronic acid that restores volume to the skin, lifting and smoothing out wrinkles and other fine lines. This procedure is most commonly used to treat the glabellar lines (between the forehead) and the nasolabial folds. It can also be used to add volume and shape to the lips.

Since Restylane is made from a natural substance found in the body, no pre-testing is required. Restylane produces results that are immediate and last for several months.

ISOLAZ Photopneumatic™ Therapy
- (skin rejuvenation and hair removal)

If you would like to improve the appearance of your skin, skin rejuvenation using Isolaz Photopneumatic Therapy (PPx) may be right for you. PPx deep pore laser therapy is an FDA cleared therapy, and is the first painless laser procedure used for the treatment of sun damaged and aging skin, including brown spots, redness of the face from broken capillaries, as well as unsightly veins. PPx is also used for hair removal treatments.

The PPx system works by first placing the laser tip over the area to be treated. It then uses a gentle vacuum system to bring the unwanted red or brown spot, or unwanted hairs closer to the skin to apply light energy to the area. The unwanted structure is quickly ablated, leaving the skin with a fresher look. Each treatment takes 5 to 10 minutes and is associated with no downtime. No anesthesia or numbing creams are necessary. The number of treatments needed depends on the condition of your skin.

Prevelle™ Silk

Prevelle Silk is a gel-like filler composed of hyaluronic acid (HA) and lidocaine. It is indicated for correction of moderate facial wrinkles and folds. It can also be used for augmentation of the lips. Different from other fillers, Prevelle Silk has lidocaine added into the mixture, thus minimizing injection discomfort and making it ideal for delicate skin areas. Dr. Cobbins performs Prevelle Silk injections in an office-based setting, and results last approximately twelve weeks.

Acne Therapy

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels may also be combined with our Isolaz Deep Pore Laser Therapy for optimal results.

All of our peels are performed in the office with treatment times ranging from 10 to 15 minutes. We utilize mild alphahydroxy acids (AHAs) and stronger trichloroacetic acid (TCA) peels to brighten your skin. All peels are formulated and tailored to treat each individual patient’s needs. Depending upon the type and strength of peel performed, temporary stinging, redness, irritation, flaking or crusting may occur.

Following your peel, adequate sun protection is required and you must follow our post-procedure instructions for best results. During your consultation, Dr. Cobbins will examine your skin and go over various peels offered and devise a plan to help you achieve your aesthetic goal.
